A Northern Ontario Tradition

For generations, guests have come to this corner of Magnetawan to slow down, reconnect and enjoy life by the water.

Today, Ahmic Lake Resort welcomes couples, families, groups and seasonal guests with comfortable cottages, a waterfront setting, the Swiss Country House Restaurant and the kind of relaxed hospitality that makes it easy to feel at home.

Why Guests Return or What Makes Ahmic Lake Special.

Our Story

Ahmic Lake Resort has been welcoming visitors to the Magnetawan area for decades. The property adopted the name Ahmic Lake Resort in 1979, during a period of major redevelopment that included the construction of cottages, the store and the main office.
Over the years, the resort has continued to evolve while remaining rooted in the experience guests value most: time together by the lake.

Today, the property includes ten cottage accommodations, a seasonal RV park, marina and waterfront facilities, and the Swiss Country House Restaurant. Guests come for family vacations, quiet getaways, fishing trips, celebrations and seasonal lake life.

We are proud of the resort’s history and committed to caring for the property so it can continue welcoming guests for generations to come.

What We Believe

Vacations do not need to be complicated or expensive to be meaningful.

Sometimes the best memories happen over morning coffee on the deck, around the dinner table, while paddling across the lake or sitting by the fire at the end of the day.
We believe a great resort stay should feel comfortable, welcoming and easy to enjoy. Our goal is to give guests the setting and space to slow down, spend time together and create traditions they will want to return to.

Why Couples Love
